You might know him as the exclusive DJ for Da Brat, Bow Wow and teen sensations Kriss Kross, but DJ Nabs was also the only DJ ever to tour with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson! Now, he’s chronicled his travels in a new film called Diary of a Mad DJ. He joined Good Day to tell us all about it, and he even played for us in studio.

I’m just starting to come down from the high of the weekend. My man Derek Harper, program director of Majic 107.5 just buzzed me to let me know about all of the phone calls coming into the radio station regarding getting a copy of the live Michael Jackson tribute from a few days ago. I’m working on it so bear with me. Today is monday and I leave for Taiwan wednesday to continue my tribute to Michael Jackson so my team is working hard to edit everything together from the show before I leave. As many of you may know, part of my grind in this music/entertainment biz is working with Michael Mauldin and the team at Mauldin Brand Agency (Scream Tour, Welcome To Atlanta Weekend, Fast Life, etc). Recently, we had an event at Atlanta Motor Speedway called Fastlife Friday in which we created another outstanding event merging the cultures of Drag racing, music,fashion,celebrities and more. As part of that movement, I was inspired to create this mixtape called Fastlife Smashups Vol 1. In my travels around the world spinning music, I realized that you have to have a broad knowledge of music in order to satisfy people of different backgrounds and musical taste. This CD features some great mashups (or smashups) by some great DJs and mixed and scratched live by yours truly. I was even told that it was great for working out too. Enjoy!!
