WE ROCKED THE BOAT……PICS FROM TOM JOYNER’S FANTASTIC VOYAGE
The Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage was a first for me and my wife Audra 3000. She has been on a cruise before but it was nothing like this adventure. There are so many things that happened in the 7 days we spent on the ship that I will probably overlook somethings but I will try and recap as much as I can remember. Pics are below if I miss anything.
First of all from day 1, I spun parties day and night along with DJs Biz Markie, Cut Creator, Steve “Silk” Hurley, Wiz, Tee Jay, FireJoc, Bed Rock, Dee Wiz, DJ Hollywood and MC Cool Out. The parties started at noon and went until 7am. Most of the parties started in the main area of the ship called The Promenade. The ship had several theaters for the performances from artists, comedians and personalities such as Doug E Fresh, Salt N Pepa, Chuck Brown, Lisa Raye, Fantasia, MC Lyte, Tony Rock, Avant, Tank, Lil Mo, AJ (formerly of 106 & Park), Monie Love, Kid N Play, SWV, Howard Hewett, Jay Anthony Brown, Chubb Rock, George Daniels, Marvin Dixon, Arrested Development, Dres from Black Sheep, Foxy Brown, Eddie Levert and many others who kept the boat rocking all week long. Tom Joyner and his team were the perfect hosts as we sailed the seas and visited Cozumel, Mexico and the Cayman Islands for the beach party and annual “Light Skinned vs Dark Skinned” water gun fight (we lost..urgggh). My dudes Imari and Ryan from Playdate (ATL) and Ford kept the nearly 3000 party goers entertained daily with your favorite games while Budweiser sponsored the bulk of the theme parties such as The White Party (hosted by Lisa Raye), Mardi Gras Night, Nubian Night and The Pajama Party better known as “you might as well”, suggesting that you hook up with that person on the last night of the cruise who caught your eye throughout the week
I’ve barely scratched the surface of this experience with this brief blog but hopefully you get the idea of how amazing this trip was. Check out the pics and I will post video later when I get a chance to edit it down. I gotta prepare for my trip to Singapore tomorrow to back up the homey Lil Jon for a couple of shows. I’ll holla.
