DJ N.A.B.S became a household name in Atlanta as one of the first DJ/radio personalities with his own branded radio show, In the Lab with DJ Nabs, which began in 1996 on Atlanta’s first all hip-hop radio station, Hot 97.5. In the same year, N.A.B.S turned his broadcast into a live show production, starting the first hip-hop night in midtown Atlanta, with legendary acts such as The Sugarhill Gang, Run DMC, Biz Markie, Kurtis Blow, Jay-Z, and Questlove performing on stage. The In the Lab with DJ Nabs brand became a trifecta in 1998, with the release of his first studio album of the same name on Columbia Records.

N.A.B.S was honored by The GRAMMY Music Museum in an exhibition, acknowledging his immense contribution to Atlanta’s music in association with So So Def Recordings. The certified hip-hop historian was a curator for the exhibition and sourced nearly 200 artifacts that were displayed.

The evolution of N.A.B.S as an artist, DJ, producer, and entrepreneur was revealed again in 2020, when he launched the multi-media company Em City™ World; consisting of subsidiaries Em City™ Recordings, Em TV Productions, and Em City™ Radio. Through Em City, N.A.B.S has produced and released music, an animated series, podcasts, and a twenty-four-hour online radio broadcast.

About Capitol Theatre

The Capitol Theatre first opened its doors on November 10, 1916, until 1976 when the Theatre closed its doors and was neglected for thirty years. In 2003, revitalization efforts began and culminated when the Capitol Theatre reopened in 2006. Since that time, the theatre has become a cornerstone in the revitalization effort of downtown Macon and is once again a symbol of community, operating as a multi-purpose entertainment venue. In 2013, the Moonhanger Group took over management of the Theatre, and in 2018, Moonhanger took over stewardship of the historic property. The Capitol Theatre brings quality entertainment to Middle Georgia featuring concerts, comedy shows, showcases, and more.
